Purana Qila, or the Old Fort, is one of Delhi’s oldest surviving strongholds. Believed to have been built on the site of the ancient city of Indraprastha, the citadel was reconstructed by Sher Shah Suri and Humayun in the 16th century. Its massive gates, sprawling walls, and serene surroundings carry layers of history — from mythological legends to Mughal ambitions.
